Rona Ising: Do not pay up front -- tell him you will only pay after it is sold. This is a common consignment scam.Tell him that you will post it in the paper with his phone number and you will give him $50 to detail it ...if they do that and you dont want to.He will tell you that he is going to sell it for 6,299 but he will actually sell it for less. He will call you with an offer from a guy that is way lower than what you are asking... he may even let it sit for a while to make you feel like it is undesireable or overpriced... this is a common scam. Stick to your price if you feel it is fair market value -- look it up on NADA.com and kelley blue book. BUT DO NOT PAY HIM ANYTHING MORE THAN A COUPLE BUCKS UP FRONT -- Sign a contract that only requires you pay if the car is sold....Show more
Miguel Koczela: Why do you want to pay someone to sell your car. They will get their money whether it sells or not. Good for them...not good for you. I say no. They are just loo! king to make a buck off you and don't care if it sells or not. They would probably put a time limit on how long they would "try to sell it " for.
Somer Distilo: Dealers indeed .. they're going to get your car and try to win at least another 2-3 grand on it so don't buy their sweet talk on how they wanna help you that's bs,, for example i have a car its market value is 7000 the dealer wants to give 2000 only because it was reported an accident which was minor damage on the front frame complete B.S that cost me less than 500 bucks to fix and the car is in outstanding condition with no damage on engine .
