Merna Fauset: kb, let me just say FAIL on that answer. you clearly don't know anything about car audio if you estimate 100db lmfao.
Burt Stoecklin: around 140 db.... you can get much higher db if you get smaller car and sound proofed it...
Moises Rupinski: You shouldn't be asking, "How far away you can be heard" but, "How long will it take for me to go deaf as a stone?". The point of pain and beginning of permanent hearing loss is 80 DB. You should make that easily. When you see a bird sitting on a limb with his beak opening and closing but don't hear his song, you'll know you have reached the point of deafness.
Bryant Chaudhry: Well the sensitivity on those speaks is a little low.Fat mat really does not increase db, it will only improve the sound quality and reduce rattles. The bass remote should really only be used to increase the bass when playing your music at low levels.I would have to say though that you could depending on the size your car hit any ! where from 125 to 135 and how far just depends on where you are, in the country you could be heard from 1/8th of a mile maybe a little more. You can go to a car audio shop and allot of them will have a good db tester that they can let you use. I know the shop near me lets you use theirs for 10$ for 2 hours....Show more
