Simona Bulwinkle: Car insurance is most definitely required in Korea. It seems to be similar to insurance in the States, but we got the impression that you must pay for a year in full when you get it. We have done this in the last couple of months. You cannot register a car without insurance and a current inspection. We are in Seoul, by the way. I am not sure if the vehicle inspection is as stringent as is in some US states, but it must be done. Oh yes, there are no multi-car discounts, at least with the companies we checked out. Hope this helps....Show more
