Is there a cheap, easy and effective way to add a personal handheld shower to a bathtub?

Lita Thammorongsa: There are attachments that you can get to add a European style shower to the tub. It extends above the regular faucet, and has a diverter to pull the water flow into the shower head. Here's an example:http://www.amazon.com/Clawfoot-Filler-handheld-Sho...To find it, I used this search string:"european handheld shower head for clawfoot tub"duh....Show more

Irma Poiter: My brother purchased a kit and it was the spiket mounted on a pole. There was an attachment that fit over the faucet (made out of rubber, tight fit).

Whitney Saborido: Lots of solutions....http://www.nextag.com/handheld-shower/search-htmlhttp://www.dynamic-living.com/product/tub-diverter...

Brian Freedland: buy one at Target

Dexter Dicostanzo: Yes, but what you use depends on what kind of faucet you have. If you have a modern one, you can just buy a hose and spray nozzle thing and screw it on. Sometimes you need adapters, and be careful here because there's more than! one type of thread used on faucets. You don't want to get the wrong kind and cross thread it. If the faucet has a screen filter, you can unscrew that and take it to the store to make sure that what you buy will fit. If you have the old-fashioned faucet, the kind that doesn't have a threaded end but instead has narrow downward-pointing end that combines hot and cold water, you can buy the same hose(make sure it's plastic so you can cut it) and sprayer, cut the end off, slide the cut end onto the faucet end, and secure it with a hose clamp. I've even used a piece of garden hose the same way, with a garden-type spray nozzle. Worked well, and you get great choice of spray patterns with a garden sprayer....Show more
